Elephant Ears

Once again, a cigarette out on the back deck provided the inspiration for this shot. I was gazing out at the back fence and was drawn to how the light was catching the forest of elephant ears.

A few minutes later, I set out on my photographic walk and thought that I would perchance shoot something better. I think I did but the final arbiter thought otherwise.

As I mentioned yesterday, my wife much prefers colour images to B&W. Maybe the truth was simply that the shots taken out on my walk were not as good as this one.
