1st day back

and the first and second editions have brand new shoes that they've not been allowed to wear until today.

For about 15 minutes they looked vaguely clean and presentable.

Quite a bitter-sweet day, I no longer have any infant school shoes in the hallway for me to trip over, just junior school. Strangely enough, this is almost harder to bear than either of their first days at school.
