To The Lakes

Had a great day out in the Lakes a place we both love .It's the first time we've been when the weather has been warm and still!

After a longer drive than expected...due to roadworks, we made our first stop at The Swan inn at Newby Bridge.(.the bridge is the subject of my blip, at the very Southern tip of Windermere. What a lovely location too, excellent food an a pint of Real Ale (I don't drive, I hasten to add)

Suitably refreshed, onwards to Bowness which was very busy so we decided instead to go to Grasmere where we took our favourite walk and whiled away the late afternoon and early evening. Very enjoyable it was too :)

Must go back again soon.
