earthquake!

Fortunately the only visible damage in my neighbourhood was fallen chimneys and the odd crack and fallen rock

and very luckily the quake hit at around 4.35am so there was nobody on the footpath under all the bricks that fell in town. Only 2 serious injuries and no fatalities as I understand it so far

I did take some in focus and reasonably composed photos of the damage today, but this shot of the fire brigade volunteers crash starting their truck was my pic of the day. They had just finished removing a damaged brick chimney from a second storey roof and were moving on to the next job. Great work team!
