Restoration update

The green layer has been cleaned off all the statues on the Port Sunlight war memorial and they are being polished back to the original bronze like this group. I was sceptical as I rather liked the weathered green, which you can see here. However, I like the new look (which did look nicer yesterday in the evening sunshine, it's overcast today) and the detail of the bronzes is much clearer. The whole project will be finished by November and there will be some special WW2-themed events to celebrate.
