aka White Lettuce or Rattlesnake Root. It is in the Aster family and apparently the roots are a rattlesnake remedy. My mom and sister found this for me today, and it was fun to learn yet another new plant this summer. shhh don't tell my friend Irene that I didn't know each and every flower I blipped. The bumble bee had 2 huge bright gold saddles bags FULL of pollen. What a nice day.
