Noone would no from the sunny disposition of this sunny man that all around him was devastation ( well CHCH style devastation) I live in a town directly on top of a fault line and have experienced many tremors in the last 4 years. This weekend I went to Christchurch to take my sister to the airport for a flight out back to England. $.35am and the earth moved for us both - so much so that I couldn't stand up straight. Was a terrifying experience for lily-livered Brit I can say but little damage at the house we were staying at ( even though it was just 30km or so from the epicentre) CHCH however did not come off so well
