a traditional irish sri-lankan wedding!

Yesterday we went to Kalyani and Cian's wedding in the lakes. It was superb! A traditional sri-lankan wedding followed by a ceilidh to keep both families happy.

Here, the groom arrives and makes the traditional procession into the venue with his family and best man. I imagine they don't normally have bagpipes in Sri Lanka - it was pretty amazing!

The ceremony was very beautiful as was the rest of the day up in Cartmel.
