Praying mantis!

The weather is gorgeous today!! Sunny, no humidity and a slight breeze!! My favorite time of year!!

We took a little trip to the Audubon Nature Preserve not far from our house.
We walked through the paths of goldenrod and other wildflowers, enjoying the day when we spotted this guy! I haven't seen a praying mantis in years!!
They are actually our state insect here in Connecticut.
