when a stream becomes a river. these stairs lead to the cheonggyecheon, which is normally a calm and clean manmade stream that runs for about 10km through downtown seoul where there was once an elevated highway. a big storm earlier this afternoon raised the water level dramatically and turned the stream into a muddy brown river. my lomo-toting buddy was trying to get a shot of this rare occurance, but was quickly admonished by the fun police, who summoned him to higher ground.
