contagion

ivy grows all over portland.. and now it's all growing red and yellow. as i drive all over town every day, i see it taking over the underpasses and growing under the overpasses.
there's usually a coalition every few months to cut it back.
but for some reason, people keep planting it. and then it invades neighborhoods. it's all over my neighborhood.. outside my kitchen window.
i don't mind, i like it when it changes from green to yellow to red.
i think it's beautiful.
like an ivy carpet.

today was an interesting day. it's not over yet on the left coast.
today i saw a tiny dog running against traffic on highway 26 right before rush hour. i think it may have caused the collision a little further down the hill right before the tunnel. the little guy was just running and running and paying no attention to the cars dodging its little body.

i found a polaroid big shot this afternoon at pro photo and i was pretty excited to get to start playing with that this weekend. i've started somewhat collecting vintage polaroids. and when i say "collecting", i mean when i see one at a garage sale i will buy it if it's not expensive. of course only the film or magicubes for the bulbs are usually hard to find/spendy.

the beau and i ate sushi on 21st and then walked around 23rd for a while in the cold weather. it feels so nice outside and the sun has been shining for the past few days which i'm sorry to say is extremely rare.

today is my sister's 29th birthday. happy birthday, love.
