Powwow

Today we visited the 40th annual Powwow of the Barona tribe. We just stumbled upon it after I was wondering whether there would be any native American settlements we could visit. This photo was taken in the afternoon, when the kids had their contests. It was searing hot outside, so after watching for a bit, we decided to go to the nearby casino to spend the rest of the afternoon there. In the evening we returned, mostly to see the Men's Fancy Dance, and it was amazing!
