A view through fennel

The wild fennel near our garden is head-high now. I'll harvest the seed from it soon to use in cooking. The village looked a bit gloomy under a cloudy sky, but this made it easier to photograph as often when I've tried I've been shooting straight into the sun.

We hope the clouds will bring some rain - everything here is so dry. It hasn't rained properly for months. What we need is a good thunderstorm to clear the air and then we'll be back to sunshine again.
