Cafe/Society
Bridgend town centre is pretty depressing. There is a row of greasy spoon cafes along this particular road and most of them were busy as the rain had started but this woman had decided to sit on her own in the emptiest one and look out at the youths hanging around outside the job centre.
If she'd cast her eyes to the right she might have seen a group of people stood outside the the pub having a smoking break during their early morning drinking. To the left she would have been able to see the endless stream of teenage mothers and old widows in and out of Bargain Bonanza or Planet Pound or whatever it's called.
The brilliant butcher we used when we couldn't get what we needed from the farm shop closed down recently so there is now very little reason to visit "town" any more.
So Autumn and I hurried back to the car and made for the valley where the sun always shines, the air smells of freshly cut grass and everyone waves at you from behind bright white picket fences as you go by.
