New Lens

This is the new lens I mentioned last week: the Sigma EX 30mm f1.4. Got it last weekend and most of the blips since then have been done with it.

It's a nice lens and that f1.4 does allow for some fast shots indoors and at low light. The downside of course is focussing - spot focussing on a face sometimes isn't quite enough as the DOF is so short. So, a bit of practice and patience required.

OH and the wee man were through in Edinburgh today visiting Grandma and seeing a train, so I spent the day pottering around doing some odd jobs. Finally cleaned up the fish tank, may do a round of the local shops on Thursday to restock following the mysterious wipeout of a couple of months back. I've decided not to put the driftwood back in as it seems to slime up far too easily.
