Lyra Knock Them Down

There are no two ways about it. Lyra is out and out destructive.

She is very adept at dissassembling many of her favourite toys and can tear a newspaper important document to shreds within moments. If she can't break it, she'll bang it and if it doesn't bang well she'll throw it.

My little oik.

One of her favourite games at the moment is 'Lyra Knock Them Down' which is about as ingenius as it sounds. I build a tower, Lyra takes great glee in toppling it. I build a new tower (at the point where the furthest toppled block landed - you see as I have so many hours alone with my daughter that I have time to think up complex and meaningless rules to the games we play) Lyra knocks it down again.

Simples.

Getting a picture? Not so simples, Lyra is so damned fast that even if I build a tower on the opposite side of the room to her I can't get into position in time. So I put an obstacle in her way. She pays no heed to obstacles and simply climbs through them. This gave me my chance. One shot. That was it. She didn't want to play any more. She had seen a cat that needed chasing.
