First School Dance

Today marked a milestone in our household, Loren's first school dance. Do you think he would let me take a picture of him? No. This was him and one of his best friends, Chris, running away from me after I dropped him off at the dance. Loren's head is ironically the one right above the sign that reads 'No Stopping Any Time'. That was pretty much how he felt, no getting out of the car or stopping to take a pic...apparently that's just ridiculously embarrassing to a new middle school boy. My second attempt at a photo opportunity for this event was walking up after he was already inside to try to get a picture of the dance's decor....then I changed my mind once I got closer. I should get extra mom points for resisting that urge. I kept distracted by talking to a few of my dad friends who were telling similar funny stories about dropping their kids off at the dance. I wasn't alone.

Liam was at a Monster Truck Rally in Sacramento with his best friend, Cody. We took Landon to the park in the evening to practice riding his bicycle without training wheels since he felt sad being the only one not doing something special. He picked it up and is now pushing the bike off on his own too! We are proud parents....our boy has only been 5 years old for a week and a half!
