Disco Inferno

I was planning to blip about either daughter #1 abandoning me for two days to go to Hawkshead or the surprise theatre visit to see a local (but outstandingly amazing) production of Les Mis, but no.

During the interval of said production I checked my facebook using my phone and saw several status updates about a local nightspot being ablaze. It has been disused for years and was due to be demolished but it represents memories of formative, drunken years for many a resident in the 25-45 age range here.

The reaction froze the servers of the local news site and facebook!

It also gets tied in with the Beatles somehow.

On the way home from the theatre we passed the site in the car and I took a passing snap as the lights and raindrops on window combination pleased me. And as far as I know there are no casualties.
