My offspring, 14 and 12, have informed me that they do not consider metallic electric blue Doc Martens Mary Janes appropriate footwear for mums.

Especially not with Pac Man socks.

And definitely NOT to the first parents' evening at their new school on Thursday.


We'll see about that.
