Lucy Doll's Guide to Baking

Today, Lucy and Mama had lots of fun baking yummy chocolate cupcakes. They tasted delicious, and we even used soya milk instead of cow's milk in the recipe because of little Izzy's allergy. Here are Lucy Doll's top tips for the perfect cupcake...

1. When baking cupcakes, the recipe book says 'always use the finest ingredients'. The only way to check that you are using the finest chocolate is by tasting it...and then tasting it a bit more...and then letting Mama taste it just to be on the safe side...nom nom.

2. The best way to add eggs to your mixture is by crunching and scrunching them up in the palm of your hand, and then watching closely as Mama patiently picks a hundred pieces of egg-shell out of the bowl...ahem.

3. Icing cupcakes is lots of fun. Especially if you use half the mixture to ice your baby sister and then eat the other half yourself.

4. The best bit is gobbling up the end result...yum yum!!
