Learning from sister

Pip failed to keep us enthralled with her book from school.

The desperate attempt to be P.C, to tick off learning outcomes etc drives any joy of storytelling screaming from the pages of this book.
The plot is inpenetrable, twisting and turning; the variety of names. he said she said vasim said, jaz shouted, kai insisted and susan called... pip did try to inject feeling and used different voices but .. .

there are better books out there .. . there are. Many of them.

no wonder the kids dont enjoy reading, the stories they get are c**p.

i wouldnt leave pip unattended in a bath reading thisbook. Far too dangerous.

Joe started crying begging to get out .. to get away.. cried for his bed.
