Noah's Ark
I'm in the shower, enjoying some lovely time to myself before the mad rush to get out. Callum runs in, "Mama, Mama" fully dressed and ready to go.
"Shower" he chants.
"No darling, you don't need a shower, you can have your bath tonight and you're all dressed."
"Shower, water" he continues and proceeds to tug at his shirt, slip his trousers off, and then set about taking off his diaper.
With the trousers and diaper in hand (he hasn't quite mastered the buttoned up shirt) he runs over to the basket and diaper pail, stuffs the brand new and clean diaper into the pail and the clean trousers into the basket and, lovely and clean, still ignoring me, tries to work his way into my shower with me.
The Noah's Ark exhibition at the Skirball Cultural Center like the Getty Center being set into the mountains is a treat. Meeting a couple of friends from UCLA School, the kids climb the fabulous ark, which I understand to have parallels in diverse cultures around the world, interact with the exhibits, stare excitedly at the fanciful wild animals constructed of discarded and recycled materials, run up the rope much like yesterday and play with all the animals ascending into the ark by the moving ramp, two by two. Delightful!
There were fun little shots of Reuben and the animals up close but I guess I liked the scale and light of this.
