The Last of the Monarchs

The second and third monarchs emerged from their chrysalises today. I missed both events. Both were set free this afternoon and one is still hanging on a window screen. The other has disappeared. May they make it safely to a site to spend the winter.

I stopped down to get more depth of field when shooting a chrysalis today and realized that my sensor is badly in need of a good cleaning.

Princess (my cat) had her teeth cleaned today. She was very well behaved prior to the procedure but emerged feisty and ravenous. It took the vet staff quite some time to get her back in her box for the trip home. She's been begging for attention and food ever since she got home.
