Tragedy for the Repertory Theatre

A beautiful little theatre built in 1928-29 so early Art Deco style. So sad. they have just se t a date to renovate it in April 2011 too. I'm sure this won't defeat the supporters and the theatre will rise from the dust and broken concrete looking amazing.

And the show running before the quake - Noises Off! Very prophetic.

I had my very first theatre experience in this theatre, being taken to a show - Beauty and the Beast by my grandmother when I was 7. Can still remember it clearly although it's nearly 60 years ago.
