Saab 340
The Saab 340 Aircraft is the work horse for the Northern Isles. It connects Sumburgh in Shetland with Kirkwall, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh. There is a fleet of them operated by Loganair on behalf of Flybe with 4 return flights to Aberdeen, 2 to Kirwall and on to Inverness, one to Glasgow and 3 to Edinburgh. They hold 34 passengers and the plane here at Inverness is the one that brought me back up North this evening. It was a calmer flight than the one down on Monday!
