Hands

There. I promised I'd get the proper camera out today, and I did. I managed only a couple of handfuls of photographs though - this one of Ben playing with a magnet (it's a cupboard-lock magnet, it unlocks our cupboards if you put it in the right place. Ben hasn't figured out the right place yet... although he knows he needs a magnet to get into the cupboards...), and another couple of him playing with a woodpecker on a pole. He was not interested in having his picture taken today AT ALL, he had full-on ants in his pants, couldn't sit still for a second, not even to eat! Just fidget fidget fidget.

He had a better day at nursery, chattering away to his carers, eating everything put in front of him (my goodness but Calpol is good stuff isn't it!!), telling them about his Book and the photographs in it. He was still eating when I picked him up!

He has charmed everybody this evening. I spent the morning tidying up like a mad fool, the house (if you ignore the general lack of decor, and the cables and wires everywhere, and the bare walls) is now at a level of tidiness that is actually maintainable. Hopefully. The problem with tidying up is that you can't really blip the results, because it just looks ... well, tidy. And of course I didn't do a "before" set of photographs. Hey ho, that's life. So yes, I tidied up, in preparation for people coming round this evening for Wii games and Chinese takeaway nibbles, birthday cake and celebratory champagne. Two birthdays, one successful job interview, and a houseful of friends. And a Benjamin who, once he relaxed about all these weird people being in his house, went bonkers because it was way past his bedtime (but did he want to go to sleep? You guess) and giggled and laughed and ran about like a loon and generally had a blast.

Just got a little bit of clearing up to do before I turn in, and then tomorrow.... Well, tomorrow is my blipday and I'm still not sure what I want to blip! We are off to "Mini Melodies" in the morning, in the hope that a more focussed time to make a lot of noise will be beneficial to Ben's complete need to hit anything that makes a sound.
