Wash away as a result of an accident!

Second day shift today and quite eventful. We got called out this morning to a 'reported wash away as a result of an accident'. We get called to mop up any fuel or oil spills that occur from a road accident so other cars don't slip in the fluid. This morning it was truck that had rolled over onto its side in a busy intersection. We got there and luckily the truck only had planks of timber on the back, it would have been worse if it had a fuel, or liquid of some sort.

Luckily there was only a small oil leak and not even a trickle of diesel leaking out. We had to wait until the timber was moved off the road and then the truck was tipped back onto its wheels before we could go though in case anything else started leaking.

There was a construction site across the road so the guys from there came over with their fork lifts and lifted the stacks of timber onto two other trucks to clear the road and then the heavy haulage tow truck could come in and pull the truck back over. All this happened over a period of nearly two hours! I took a couple of photos on my iPhone when the tow truck was pulling the truck back onto its wheels from on its side.
