life is a wheel

Et Voila

De castle, as promised yesterday. This is the top floor of what will be White Stuff on George St. Not a bad view from your office window. I remember when I was in secondary school in Dublin the window of our class room looked out across Dublin bay with the Poolbeg chimneys (red and white hooped iconic towers) to the right and the beautiful Howth peninsula to the left. I was often caught gazing out the window at the ships coming into Dublin port, the oyster catchers and other estuary birds at low tide and staring further to the Wiclow mountains at the occasional flickering lights.I remember my maths teacher, Mr McCluskey a great big Donegal man , catching me one day and asking what i was doing and I told him I was watching the birds and he had a wee laugh and said 'sure I don't blame ye son it's a grand view'. Great guy, never did pass maths.
