Left Brome and the kids breakfasting while I took Boo for a walk down to the beach. We took the route we'd already taken two or three times before - through a field of cows. All perfectly fine.

We were returning the same way as we came, when the devil suddenly got a hold of Boo.

Without as much as a by your leave she was off. When I got to a point in the field where I could see her again, she was being chased by a herd of cows. Then she saw me and started running towards me - hotly pursued by the cows. I have never run so fast in my life and I was terrified. I managed to get out of the field just in time while Boo decided to have another lap of excitement.

Eventually, when she felt the cows had had enough exercise she sprinted back over to me, still with the cows on her tail. Luckily I got her out through the gate before they reached us.

Boy did she get an ear bending on the long way back.
