Ghost house, Happy Valley

This 19th century villa lies abandoned in Happy Valley, Wellington. It was probably a farmhouse in the days when settlers cleared the forest and sheep wandered over the hills.

Now, houses have spread along the valley and the ridges, but the villa rests in a wilderness of willow, gorse, and long grass.
