Capalino suspension bridge
Today we took a shuttle bus to the Capilano suspension bridge in Vancouver. The original Capilano bridge was built by George Grant Mackay in 1889 to access prime forest lands that he purchased and protected from logging.
The bridge was originally suspended on hemp rope. Today's bridge uses 2" steel cables capable of supporting up to 96 elephants!
Enjoyable day and it stayed dry which was really good. Not the best picture taken today but wanted to show one of our days outing and one that showed one of Canada's attractions.
