There once was an ugly duckling...

Just a quick blip from a hastily taken dog-walk today as I've been really busy with work and other things.

I've watched this cygnet since he was born. He did have two siblings but sadly they disappeared when they were a few weeks old.

He's a sweet-natured soul...unusual for a swan and I wonder if he'll stay that way when he reaches maturity.

To all those who were touched by the events of 9/11, you're in my thoughts.
