Sedum Roof, Suttie Centre, University of Aberdeen

Today was the annual Doors Open Day in the City of Aberdeen.

Our schedule this year allowed us to visit just one of the buildings that was specially open for the day: the Suttie Centre on the hospital campus at Foresterhill.

This photograph was taken on the roof terrace that surrounds the top floor of the building, and shows a section of the Green Roof (made up of Sedum matting) that covers part of the terrace.

We're now eagerly planning a number of visits for Doors Open Day in the Shire, which this year takes place in a week's time on September 18th.
