changing seasons

first things first, i must confess that fall is my favorite of seasons. that chill in the air after the warmth of summer just energizes me.

this year the changing seasons seem to have snuck up on me. one week overwhelmed by 90 degree weather and michigan's typical high humidity. the next not wanting to leave my house without a sweater. so golly was i happy this afternoon to see the fields turning a brilliant yellow and the trees wonderful colors just starting to shine through.

i find myself looking forward towards apple butter, paw paw picking, walking through the forest blanketed with colorful leaves, apple cider, and sweaters. signs of fall in michigan.
