The Road Home
We're finally driving homewards from our Scottish tour via Myshkin's gig at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge. Will have no signal tonight so although I'm tempted to wait till later and photograph the wonderful Myshkin, I decided I'd skip my usual obsession for portraiture and post a landscape. Landscapes are kind of tricky with an iPhone as the lack of zoom or other lenses means it's a camera better suited to shorter range shots, but I thought this sky, photographed out of the car window, was rather beautiful.
I'm finding the onset of autumn a difficult thing to accept. The ghost of sunshine we had on a couple of days this week has been a real boon. Last night, after the gig in Banchory, I swear I could smell frost in the air. At the same time I just heard my dad's house in Spain has been seriously threatened by wildfire on the mountain, so sunshine isn't always desirable ( although they're yet to determine whether or not the fires were an arson attack on the area...)
So tomorrow we'll be home for two days before we head off to St Ives to support Donovan at the September Fest. That should be fun!
