MINCE (Scottish slang for not good)

Is it an age thing? but I seem to like fewer and fewer new films.A few years ago I would have liked nothing better than a good film at the local Palais, but now I come out ranting at films that have come recommended.
Last night my sons and I decided to have a lads night, and hired Die Hard 4.0, a daft title, but hell we had popcorn and monkey nuts!.
I think I fell asleep about 20 minutes into the film, after about the 300th explosion (all cgi) and Willis's mumbled dialogue you get the impression you've seen it all before (and better), Hitchcock would have least given it a sense of palpable tension, and the script would have least made sense.


Anyway ignore me I'm feeling old today.
