Hawkers Hut Morwenstowe

This is a wooden-doored, wooden-walled, wooden-seated, turf covered hut nestling under sea-thrift and stonecrop and giving an amazing view out to sea. Hawker was the vicar of Morwenstowe and built the hut from driftwood and used it as a place of meditation, wrote some poetry there and occasionally enjoyed an opium pipe! This is the smallest National Trust property in the UK.

Another great day walking in sunshine - we can certainly tell why this section is graded severe! Walking friend is recovering from surgery so shorter walks which I have welcomed today!!!
