Fireworks finale

Today saw the Thames River festival bring the days of summer to a close.

What fitting way to close the night then; than to have an explosive displays of fireworks across the river bank.

So here we were, standing confidently in the balcony of the wonderful Royal Festive hall. I set up my camera atop of my makeshift backup-tripod, expecting to just happily click away once the show started...

HOWEVER...it appeared that we got our bearings completely wrong (along with many others may i add, haha) and in fact the display was being executed between the bridges further to our right! :O)

We did rush around to see it eventually, so it wasn't too bad!

Luckily with modern technology, here I am able to replicate the stunning scenes from this nights fireworks. As you can see it did really stretch the boundaries of pyrotechnic creativity.
