Fern in the Rough

It started out as a normal Monday, a 'Happy Monday'. "Aunt Annie" has been hanging out in my car and greeted me with her silent stare as I climbed in to start my day. I was on my way to my "day job", and anticipating the arrival of new guests at the Cottage this evening. A little stop along the road, to drop off this week's garbage, and a fern growing in the rough along the road, caught my eye. It was an otherwise foggy morning, nothing too eye catching. Just a quick stop, out comes "Aunt Annie" to pose and admire the fern, then off again to commence with a 'Happy Monday'.....and that it was.
