Perfect Day

One of those days that was just so nice from start to finish. After all the rain lately we were so blessed to have a warm sunny day.
It had been a fairly sleepless night at the hostel. Even though we had a private room noise really carried. Especially the taps! They have these taps you press from the top and the pressure is so high the water spurts out with such force and noise. It seemed to carry right to our room. Coupled with creaking floorboards and coughing it was one of those nights. But saying that it was nice to wake in a new environment and so nice that the sun was shining for us.
After breakfast we walked along the river to Arundel. It was such a picturesque walk,the cathedral and the castle dominating the backdrop. We've visited a few times so didn't really feel the need to explore,we just headed to the lido,swam in the heated outdoor pool under the shadow of the castle and relaxed. Sun on our skin,picnic,it really was very good.
Late afternoon we headed back to the hostel to shower and change and head into Chichester for the evening. I'd been wanting to visit an art exhibition there for ages so it was good to finally get the chance. I loved it. The exhibition was very inspiring and gave me lots to think about. We stayed until closing and then had dinner out. A rare treat for P and I.
It really was a perfect day.
