Serious doubts about this year's wine quality...

These are the days that a warm september sun should ripen off the grapes. Their acidity levels should drop and sugar and flavor levels should increase.
I've picked the old leaves covering the bunches away to give the sun access to the grapes, I've cut the excess bunches away in july (the "Vendange Verte" as the French say), etc.

Anyway, it is one of the most dreary days of the year. The grapes are wet and cold instead of dry and warm.

As for the wine for which these grapes are intended, I hope for the best...
