Provost Skene's House

Trying to escape the rain and hail showers I managed to take this photograph of Provost Skene's House in the centre of Aberdeen. Dating from 1545 this house is one of the few surviving examples of early burgh architecture. It is named after one of its owners, Sir George Skene a wealthy merchant and Provost of Aberdeen from 1676 to 1685. Provost is the term for a town mayor in Scotland.
