Lily pollen

These lilies from the supermarket have taken over a week to open, but most of the buds have burst like fireworks now and they are gorgeous. The flowers are huge, with thick waxy petals covered in little raised markings, and they have a very strong scent. In the evening lamplight they look quite fleshy and almost as if they could talk. The pollen is just about to start to fall and it will stain everything it comes into contact with, but I think they are worth it.
