Day 1
I work for a not for profit organisation and one of the aims of the company is to put something back into the community in which we operate. This is done in a range of ways through various initiatives.
This weekend we worked on our Charity Challenge (once again I ended up on the committe - I am sure there is something going on here as I never volunteer but always end up being told to attend the meetings)
The Challenge was to take two days to overhaul our local MS Therapy Centre. This is something which means a lot to all of us in the office as our boss lady was diagnosed late last year with this disease. So after much prep work and organisation Sunday morning 9 am saw us up and at it. We had two industrial units, 3 meeting rooms and 4 loos to fix up! We had the help of some trades people who are our clients - thank goodness!
The blip shows Mich, Sarah and Nicki hard at it in the hallway of the second unit making a start on covering up the coral pink/orange which covered the whole place making it dull and dingy. That was actually slightly less of a challenge than the huge physio room which was painted dark blue!!
9 hours later we had managed quite a lot and what had seemed unachievable was coming together!
