The Needles

Two long, bumpy bus rides later, we arrived at Alum Bay on the west side of the Isle of Wight where we watched some glass blowing, filled a glass ornament with coloured sand, had a walk on the beach and took another bus to the Needles Lighthouse (above). A very 'bussy' kind of day finished off perfectly with a slow cooked lamb shank in a cosy Ventor restaurant called the Ale & Oyster.
