I want one...

We've had a wonderful day today!

We'd been given half a days 'Off Roading' by Land Rover - and naturally we jumped at the chance. This has to be Chris' dream car - and after today I'm rather smitten too. We were out and about in a Defender, and they've come a long way since I last knew them.

This one even had heated front seats, air conditioning (not just an open window!) and a CD player.

Anyway I took it out for 20 minutes on road driving, testing it out in town and on country roads before Chris took over and took it off road.

Driving up hills was nothing - its when you get to the top and you can't see the ground underneath you and you've been told to accelerate down the hill if it starts to slide is more un-nerving. But addictive. We spent over an hour driving through slippy mud, streams, up hills, down hills, sideways and generally having an ace time. It wasn't even that muddy at the end either.

Needless to say - its on the Christmas list...
