Friend's birthday today, so I treated her to some cake in the Manna House - an emporium of cakes in Easter Road, Edinburgh.

Before we went on our cake-y adventure I suggested shinning up Calton Hill, but just as we got to the top the rain started to sweep over spoiling the photo I had in my mind's eye. It looks better when you see it bigger.

On the holiday lettings front today, got an enquiry from a family thinking of coming to Crail in October. They asked what sort of weather to expect at this time of year - well, what can I say? 'Don't think you'll need to bring your sunblock'?
