Canal Day 5 - Shipley, A Boat's-eye View

After the disappointment of yesterday, today has gone smoothly. We accepted that we had turned around early on our holiday and were heading back. Missed a couple of blip meet ups, that was a shame. It was also a shame that the streets of Shipley were too steep for me to get The Mother in her wheelchair up beyond the Market Hall.

We moved on to Saltaire, where I had missed subscribers last week, only to find that it was also out of wheelchair reach from the canal.

Today's emergency incident needed an ambulance to drive along the towpath. We were too late to offer assistance this time. A cold, windy day to be lying outside, poor lady!

On the good side: the afternoon was bright, had a great day and made a nice, tasty meal for us all, by the time the heavy rain came we were all safely down below.

Chippy took his rainy shot from inside the boat.

Last night's DVD The Lovely Bones was good but a bit weird. Tonight we will watch 2012.
