Palma Cathedral
Tired today so we laze around the house in the morning and wander around Palma in the afternoon - get frustrated in the Cathedral not knowing how to capture it properly. End up in another of Jules' old haunts ... one he hadn't managed to find for years so we had to go and ask some old friends of his (relatives of the artists Miro) where it was. Abaco was hidden down a back alleyway with nothing but a sign with its name outside and a warning not to take pictures. Behind a huge wooden door lay a lavish interior ... too amazing for words ... fruit and flower strewn everywhere, birds singing in the outside courtyard. They only do cocktails and ice creams - so indulgent but fantastic. Another memorable magical place to add to our list of discoveries. Eat a huge dish of Paella around the corner and then go home and sit on the roof and watch the stars.
