Reunited...

Three friends met for dinner tonight. Mary and I have been friends a long time since we were 14/15 and we met Jim in 1970/71 along with his pal Tam. The four of us joined a youth group and at one point helped with a youth club.

The extended group have met over the years sometimes to attend funerals and we have lost some friends over the years. And after each funeral we all say we should meet up under happier circumstances. The times we have met, though few and far between, the years melt away and we seem to pick up where we left off.

It was lovely seeing Jim again for a chat and we have promised to keep in touch. And perhaps round up some of the others too, next time.
